Raymond Clifford Rennick, 84, of Cabot, died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Concordia Lutheran Home, surrounded by the company of his family.

Raymond was born on Wednesday, May 4, 1932 in Cadogan, PA to the late Martin and Ethel (Claypool) Rennick.  He graduated from Har-Brack High School Class of 1950 and went to work as a lab technician at Alcoa in Lower Burrell before retiring in 1995 after 39½ years of work.  Raymond and his wife were the last remaining charter members of the Allegheny Valley Baptist Church where Raymond was very active before his health declined. He spent 2 weeks in Guatemala with members of the church helping its residents re-build after an earthquake.  Raymond was a man of many talents, a knowledgeable historian, and an avid coin and train collector who had a knack for photography and enjoyed traveling, especially to historic landmarks.  He even took a trip to Honduras with his wife and daughter to help open an orphanage.  He was a member of the Pollock Lodge of Tarentum and a member and founder of the Tarentum Historical Society.

Raymond leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 63 years, Bertha M. “Bertie” (Smith) Rennick; his children: Pamela J. Sisson (David) of DE, David C. Rennick (Debra) of MA, Ron M. Rennick (Sharyn) and Deborah A. Manny (Joe) both of MD; five grandchildren: twins, Joshua and Timothy Kiffer, Gregory Kiffer, Nathan Rennick and Jessica Rennick; 3 great-grandchildren: Ella, Aiden, and Bennett Kiffer; and a special “son,” Todd Bachman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Rennick.
