Funeral Director/Funeral Supervisor/Office Assistant
Lindsay is the daughter of John and Karen Peters and recently joined the ranks of her forefathers, completing her resident internship and fulfilling all obligations to become a licensed funeral director in 2016. Lindsay is a 2003 graduate of Highlands High School; a 2007 graduate of Mercyhurst University receiving a B.S. in Applied Forensic Sciences with a minor in Biology; a 2015 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science; and a 2016 graduate of Duquesne University receiving an M.S. in Education.
Lindsay is a member of both the Guardian Angels Parish and St. Mary's Church of Freeport. She is heavily involved in her children's extracurricular activities, sports and school, being team mom when her husband is head coach and serving on the Parent Teacher Organization at South Buffalo Elementary.
Along with her husband Elias, they reside in South Buffalo Twp. and are busy raising their 4 children, Bingham, Remington, Easton, and Willow. In her spare time she thrives being outdoors in any season. In the warm weather she enjoys cutting grass, gardening, and homesteading - growing vegetables, canning, baking bread, rendering fat, making soaps & lotions, raising lots of chickens, and cooking fresh farm food or figuring out new game recipes from the land, water and air her boys bring in; in the winter nothing warms her up more than the developing smell of maple syrup coming off the sap evaporator from the freshly tapped trees. In the summer you'll find her with the kids at Sylvan Pool or cruising down the river and relaxing on the riverside. She also loves reading, yoga, walking anywhere - but with her dog in the country is the best - listening to true crime podcasts, and vacationing in the OBX or Myrtle Beach.
