My mother Virginia (Shields)Stivenson and our family wish to express our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We knew Buck in his later years and enjoyed the family history and love of Civil War artifacts he shared with us. We'll miss seeing him at the Burtner House Festivals. Marlene and family,
I was sad to hear of the passing of Buck. I have many happy memories of the both of you together at parties and holidays. If Mer was able to make her annual fall trip she would have loved to been able to console you in person.

Marlene, I am so sorry for your loss. I don’t know why God takes all of the good ones from us. I will pray for you, and to ask that you remember when the Lord calls us home he leaves us with the gift of memories that are yours to cherish forever.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Buck's passing. I have so enjoyed getting to know him though the years, and his personality and presence could fill the room. Marlene, please know my family and I are thinking of you during this tough time.
