John Adam Peters

Owner/Funeral Director & Embalmer/Licensed Life Insurance Agent

John is a lifelong resident of Natrona Heights and proud to serve his community as a fourth generation funeral director following in the footsteps of his great grandfather Herbert Warner, his grandfather Albert Fever, and his father.  He is the son of the late Janice Warden and Robert E. Peters.  He is a 1975 graduate of Highlands High School; a TKE member and near graduate of Edinboro University; and a 1980 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.  John is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Life Insurance agent.  He is the owner of Robert Peters Funeral Home, Inc. in Natrona Heights and Churchfield-Peters Funeral Home in New Kensington. 

John is an active member of Guardian Angels Parish-Most Blessed Sacrament Church, serving on the Parish Council and as an usher.  John is a member of the Highlands Area Rotary Club; Oregon Club, Brackenridge; Brackenridge American Legion – where he calls BINGO weekly; Knights of Columbus, Natrona; and a board member of Sylvan Pool. 

Along with his wife Karen, they have two grown children: Lindsay and Stephen.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, going to the movies, attending Pirate Games, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC.   It has long been John’s goal to offer the community dignified, meaningful and affordable options to remember their loved ones.

Lindsay M. Peters Heilman

Funeral Director/Funeral Supervisor/Office Assistant

Lindsay is the daughter of John and Karen Peters and recently joined the ranks of her forefathers, completing her resident internship and fulfilling all obligations to become a licensed fifth generation funeral director in 2016.  Lindsay is a 2003 graduate of Highlands High School; a 2007 graduate of Mercyhurst University receiving a B.S. in Applied Forensic Sciences; a 2015 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science; and a 2016 graduate of Duquesne University receiving an M.S. in Education. 

Lindsay is a member of St. Joseph Parish, worshiping at St. Ladislaus Church in Natrona and a new member of the Highlands Area Rotary Club.  She also teaches weekly yoga classes at Aim Yoga here in Natrona Heights and also Yoga Flow in Aspinwall.  

Along with her husband Elias, they reside in Freeport and are busy raising their children, Bingham, Remington, Easton, and Willow.  In her spare time she greatly enjoys spending time with family and friends; being outdoors, walking their dog, and homesteading - growing vegetables, canning, and raising chickens.  She also loves attending shows in the Cultural District; vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC.; and of course, practicing at the Aim Yoga studio.

George Williams

Funeral Assistant/Hearse Driver

George has become a valuable part of the Peters Family Funeral Homes, dedicating his service since 2002.  He loves helping and serving the public.   George is a lifelong member of the Natrona Heights area, a graduate of Har-Brack High School and New Kensington Commercial School.  George is retired from First Commonwealth Bank (Southwest Bank) where he served and became friends with many community members.  He is married to Sally Coyle Williams and together they have two grown children and two grandchildren, whom they enjoy babysitting. 



David Pawlak

Funeral Assistant/Hearse Driver

David is a recent addition to the Peters Funeral Home staff, joining us after his retirement from Allegheny Ludlum in 2016. He resides in Natrona Heights with his wife, Paula, and together they have one grown daughter, Stacie. David is a member of St. Joseph Parish in Natrona and serves as a Eucharistic Minister as well as a choir member. He holds the office of treasurer in the Knights of Columbus Natrona Council #2602 in service to the community. David can be found exercising daily at the Allegheny Valley YMCA participating in the Silver Splash aerobics class and at times filling in as a substitute instructor.
