Carl J. Acquaviva, 81, of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Life Care Center - Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, PA.

Carl was born on Sunday, June 3, 1934 in Belmont Hills, PA to the late Michael and Mary (Roi) Acquaviva.  He was a registered plumber who worked for AA Garrett of Brackenridge, PA and Carl Garrett of Tarentum, PA before retiring in 1994 from Allegheny Valley Hospital where he dedicated 18 years.  Carl served in the US Army and was a member of the Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, a member of the Freeport Fraternal Order of the Eagles Post 1732, and the VFW.  Carl was an avid train collector who delighted in fixing train displays and attending train shows; he also enjoyed traveling to Florida, working and managing his rental properties, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   

Carl is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dorothy Meanor Lindquist Acquaviva; his daughter: Lisa (Wayne) Linden of Lower Burrell, PA; his step-children: Kathy (Frank) Basilone of Wheeling, WV, Karen Lindquist of Pittsburgh, PA, Kimberly Lindquist of Lower Burrell, PA, and Jonathan (Jeannette) Lindquist of Cold Spring, NY; his 3 grandchildren:  Alycia (Chris) Linden Zilka and Christopher and Amanda Linden; his 4 step-grandchildren: Brianne (Tyler) Basilone McCarthy, Brooke Basilone, and Ryan and Daniel Olszewski; 4 great-grandchildren and a brother: Anthony (Mary) Acquaviva of Philadelphia, PA. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary F. Foust Acquaviva on September 27, 1977 and his siblings: Dolores, Michael, and Louise Acquaviva. 

Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday, April 1, 2016 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where a blessing service will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 10 AM with Father James Mazurek as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.  Military honors will be accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard.
