William J. Aretz, Jr.of Buffalo Township, PAWilliam J. Aretz, Jr., 75, of Buffalo Township, PA. Died on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at home. Mr. Aretz was born on March 27, 1935 in Harrison Township, PA to the late William J. and Anita Weiser Aretz, Sr. He was a veteran in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a maintenance mechanic at B and W of Apollo retiring in 1983 after 21 years. After retirement he worked at Cannon Boiler of New Kensington for 9 years. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of New Kensington, the Masonic Lodge of Leechburg and the American Legion of New Kensington. He enjoyed spending time playing cards with family, camping, fishing and bingo. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Roberta Ann Sinclair Aretz; his children: Roberta Ann Eckman of Portersville, PA and Elizabeth W. Aretz of Lower Burrell, PA; and his granddaughter and grandson: Elizabeth A. and Michael R. Plack. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family is asking everyone to join them at a memorial service at the United Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, January 12 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Colin Yuckman, officiating.
