Vera I. Myersof Upper Burrell Twp., PAVera I. Myers, 88, of Upper Burrell Township died on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in her home.Vera was born March 7, 1923 in Smallwood, England to the late William and Eliza Bracegirdle Myers. She moved to the United States in April of 1946. She worked for 8 years at Penn State New Kensington. She was a member of the Puckety Presbyterian Church of Lower Burrell where she was a member of the session and taught the youth group. She enjoyed gardening and volunteered for meals on wheels.She is survived by her children: Kathleen M. (Jay) Henry of Emlenton, PA and Robert L. (Sharon) Myers of Caledonia, MI; 5 grandchildren: Pamela (Rob) Vink, Hanna (Timothy) Cacciatore and Sara Myers, Michelle Henry and Christopher (Crystal) Henry. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert Myers (1972) and 9 brothers and sisters.Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday to the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068 (724-335-1951), where services will at 11:00 AM on Saturday with the Reverend Kirk A.
