Vera F. (Pizarchik) Mikula, 99, of Harrison Township, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Butler Memorial Hospital. Vera was born on Saturday, January 13, 1923 in Brush Valley, PA, Indiana County to the late Andrew and Angeline (Kovalchick) Pizarchik. She married Anthony Mikula and raised two children as a homemaker. She also worked as a housekeeper in Sewickley and in a candy factory in Oswego, NY. She was a member of both the Holy Family RC Church in Seward and Guardian Angels Parish, Natrona Heights. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, walking and spending time with her family. Vera is survived by 5 grandchildren: Justin (Robynn) Smith, Kyle (Tanya) Smith, Collin Smith, Jonathan Smith, and Brandon Smith; 3 great-grandsons: Tyler, Dominic and Riley Smith, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Anthony Mikula; her two children: Susan Smith and Gregory Mikula; and 9 brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730), where a parting prayer service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Guardian Angels Parish-Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, 800 Montana Avenue, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 . Burial will take place at Armagh Cemetery, Armagh, PA 15920.
