Terry L. Machen, 48, of New Kensington, PA, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.    

Terry was born on Wednesday August 9, 1967 in New Kensington, PA to the late Alice M. Machen Hancock.  Terry worked at Monroe Muffler in Monroeville, PA and was recently promoted from mechanic to Assistant Manager.  He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Plum American Legion Post 980.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his truck, the 4^th of July holiday, but especially loved spending time with his kids and family.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Michelle A. (Molenda) Machen; his children: Jeffrey A. (Sara) Brink, Lawrence A. Machen, Justin L. (fiancé Alexandra) Machen, Cody L.W. Machen, and Brian J.W. Machen all of New Kensington; 2 step-children: Timothy S. Oakes and Kayla L. Greenwald both of New Kensington; 5 grandchildren: Summer, Connor, Kameron, Abigail, and Lawrence, Jr.; 3 siblings: Jimmie Machen of New York, George Machen and Heather Whalen, both of New Kensington; his step-fathers: Joseph Whalen and Ronald Hancock; and several nephews, cousins, and other family members.   

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son: Brody Lee Allen Machen.    

Family and friends are invited from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Wednesday, December 9^th, to the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA  15068 (724-335-1951) where a service will be held Thursday, December 10^th at 11 AM with the Reverend Scott Fairman officiating. Burial will be private.
