Shirley (Bennett) Swager,90, of Fawn Township, PA, passed away at home on Thursday, June 29, 2023.  Shirley was born on October 15, 1932 in Natrona Heights, PA to the late Clifton M. and Violet Jack Bennett.   Shirley’s life revolved around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved sewing, quilting, building puzzles and having tea and cookies.  Shirley is survived by her children: Jay (Kathy) Swager, Linda (Bernard) Horgos, Gary (Brenda) Swager, Edie (Mike) Varhola, Tracy (John Paul) Derewicz and Patricia Huston; her 14 grandchildren: Jay and Jessica Swager, John and Tracy Horgos, Lyndsey Veneziano, BJ (Lacey) Trettel and David Trettel, Shawn (Amanda) Zier, Bryan and Cory Derewicz, Roxanne (Jason) Simon, Ashlee (James) Mayuric, Emilee Huston and Cameron Johns; 14 great grandchildren; and her sister: Mona Cramer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years: Richard A. Swager; 2 grandchildren: Blake Johns and Rachael Derewicz and her brother: Clifton Bennett.  The family would like to give a special thank you to her two grandchildren; Tracy Horgos and Ashlee Mayuric who helped tremendously during her final days along with her home hospice team.

Family and friends are invited from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 30, 2023 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730), where services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2023 with the Rev.
