My name is Bill Bonaccorsi. Aunt Ruth’s relatives may remember my parents, Faye and John, and my Grandmother, Dorothy, who was Al Naughton’s wife. Al Naughton, Uncle Ray’s brother, is my mother’s father. Aunt Ruth and Uncle Ray were not my blood relatives, but I always felt like they were. That was due to the way that they made you feel when you were with them. They made you love them the way that you know they loved you. The fondest memories of my life were the summers that were spent at “Ruth and Ray’s”. The country, the dogs, the camping out, the food, the horseshoes, the badminton, the bonfires and the cemetery. Yea, the cemetery, where Grandpap and Uncle Ray had us kids in constant fear with the Snipe hunting and the Bicycle Harry stories. And the pool, WOW, what a resort for us kids from the South Hills of Pittsburgh. I remember after over an hour of driving we all would be watching for the Ru-Ray sign that indicated our arrival. How excited we were when we finally got there. As I think about it now at my age, I can guess that my parents who were just kids themselves were just as excited as we were.  What I remember most about Aunt Ruth was her big smile and the joy she got when people were around. Yes, I call them my Aunt and Uncle. I loved them, I miss them and I thank God I knew them. They do not make people like them anymore. Bill Bonaccorsi and Family
