Robert J. Robinson

Robert (Bob) J. Robinson, 73, of Upper Burrell, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights.  He was born March 23, 1941 in New Kensington to the late Evelyn Warren Robinson Slobogian and Robert F. Robinson.
He worked as a mechanic and grounds keeper at the Fox Chapel Golf Course  between 1964 and 1983 and at Tri-Valley Sanitation/Waste Management from 1985 to 1989.  He was a member of Rolling Oldies Car Club of SW Pa. Bob enjoyed working on cars, attending car cruises and spending time with his family.  His grandchildren were the love of his life.  
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Carson Robinson, his son, Robert Chris (Diana) Robinson of Lower Burrell, his daughters, Robin (Steve) Sorch of New Kensington and Nicole (Tyler) Walters of West Deer, grandchildren, Alexa and Emilee Sorch, Noah, Alden and Alena Cavada and Chuckie, David and Timmy Conley, brothers, Perry and Joe (Roberta) Robinson, sisters, Charlene (Ralph) Wilson, Cheryl (Ronnie) Robinson, Linda (Larry) Best and Florence (Ricky) Mauk, brother-in-laws, Ronnie and David (Karen) Carson, sister-in-law, Betty (Edwin) Pulk and many nieces and nephews.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Robert A. Robinson and Florence A. Snyder Robinson, his grandchildren, Steven and Samuel Sorch, his Mother and Father-in-law, Frances and George E. Carson, in-laws, Carol Robinson, John (Eddie), Bill, Eugene, Raymond, Paul and Shirley Carson and Dorothy Spana.
Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, Sunday, October 26 at the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA  15068, where services will be held at 11 AM Monday with the Reverend Gene Miller, officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.  For online condolences, please visit us at www.petersfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
