Robert K. Eastland

Robert K. Eastland, 90, of New Kensington, PA died unexpectedly near his home on Monday, January 13, 2025.  Bob was born on Wednesday, August 22, 1934 in Pittsburgh to the late Glenn and Eleanor McWherter Eastland.  Bob was a veteran in the Army. Bob retired as a head custodian for the Fox Chapel School District.  He was a member of the Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church, New Kensington.  He was also a member of the Tyrian Masonic Lodge of New Kensington, the Syrian Lodge of Harmar Twp., where he was involved with Caravan #16. He enjoyed watching football and baseball and playing solitaire on his cell phone, but what he really enjoyed was being around his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.       

Bob is survived by his wife: Clara K. (Loos) Eastland; his children: Bob (Martha) Eastland, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Eastland, Debbie Coleman, Sherry Holloman, Donald (Melissa) Rakowski, Jr., Kathryn (Daniel) Aller, Sue Ann (Gordan) Rakowski; his grandchildren: Michael, Markie, Matthew, Eric, Desiree, Bradley, Tim, Jesse and Jersey and 16 great grandchildren; his siblings Carol (Doug) Morrison and Joan Eastland and a brother-in-law: William (Nycha) Loos.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents: his sons: Mark and Timmy Eastland; his grandchildren: Jason and Nickolas.

Family and friends are invited from 1:30 to 3:30 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 to the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068 (724-335-1951) where services will start at 3:30 PM with the Reverend Tim Sweigert, officiating.   Burial will be held privately at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, PA.
