Richard M. Johnson, 70, of Endeavor (Forest County), passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015, in Platinum Ridge Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, Brackenridge.

He was born Feb. 21, 1945, in Natrona Heights, to the late Richard E. and Elizabeth B. (Elder) Johnson. Richard was Protestant by faith and was a member of the Assembly of God in Freeport, member of the school board in the Forest Area School District, Tionesta, enjoyed antique and classic cars, hunting, fishing and tractor pulling contests and various county fairs. He was a salesman for Jack's Ford, Sarver, and Key Lincoln-Mercury, New Kensington.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy M. (Bob) Smeresky, of Allegheny Township; three nieces, Stacey Laratonda, Heather (Matt) Berkoben and Traci Harris; a nephew, Jacob Smeresky; five great-nieces and nephews; a special aunt and uncle, Mary Jane and Ron Johnson, of Sodus Point, N.Y.; and his best friend, Roy Koedel, of Fawn Township. He was preceded in death by his parents mentioned above.

At Richard's request, there will be no public viewing. A celebration of Richard's life will take place at the family's convenience. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. 724-224-7730.
