Paul B. Sloan, 84, of Natrona Heights passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at home. He was born on Sunday, November 26, 1933 in Dayton, PA to the late Dale and Pauline Good Schrecengost. Paul graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1951. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He then worked at Alcoa as an analyst, he also worked as a cabinet maker, machinist and security guard before retiring. Paul was an avid fisherman and enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading, doing Wii bowling at the YMCA, gardening, was a lifelong blood donor to the American Red Cross but he especially enjoyed being around his family.
Paul is survived by his wife: Alice M. Dush Sloan; his children: Barbara (John) Hank of Masontown, PA, Robert Sloan of New Castle, PA and David (Dotti) Sloan of Natrona Heights, PA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Lois Reed.
Family and friends are invited from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM Monday, August 6, 2018 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where services will follow at 6:30 PM with the Pastor Lee Rupert of the North Apollo Church of God officiating. Burial will be private.
