Patricia A. “Pat” “Patty” (Blake) Merchant, 73, of Brackenridge, PA passed away peacefully Friday, December 7, 2018 surrounded by family in her home, after suffering a long illness.
Pat was born in Tarentum, PA on Thursday, July 19, 1945 to the late Warren J. and Helen (Fabian) Blake. She was a graduate of Har-Brack High School Class of 1964 and Robert Morris Jr. College, Pittsburgh, eventually retiring from Fashion Bug. Pat was a member of Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum and she enjoyed her card club of over 50 years, all types of crafts, gardening, flowers, camping and traveling. She had a passion for collecting dolls and teddy bears, and she did circus model building featuring a teddy bear circus.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William “Bill” Merchant; her 3 daughters: Elizabeth Daugherty, Jennifer Merchant, and Amanda Merchant and her grandchildren: Jim and Abby Daugherty and Lisa Platt, all of Brackenridge; her brother: William (Edith) Blake of Chesapeake, VA; and in-laws: Margaret Spruill of Virginia Beach, VA and Jack Merchant of Pittsburgh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Peggy Jo.
At Pat’s request, all services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730).
