Muriel C. Schaefferof Natrona Heights, PAMuriel C. Schaeffer, 96, of Natrona Heights, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, PA.Muriel was born on December 11, 1915 in New Castle Upon Tyne, England to the late Joseph and Jane McCaw Coulson. She and her family immigrated to Canada when she was 3 years old and then moved to Pennsylvania a couple of years later. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Natrona Heights where she was very active through most of her years there. She enjoyed Square dancing and enjoyed making apple pies for church functions. She is survived by her children: David B. (Jean) Schaeffer of Brainerd, MN, Jean S. (Daniel) Marsteller of Memphis, TN, Russell K. (Linda) Schaeffer of Pleasanton, CA, Joan B. (Nicholas) Kiak of Hellertown, PA and Susan L. (Rudy) Lednicky of Henderson, NV; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and a sister: Priscilla Wilcox of Montrose, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Russell M. Schaeffer (April 30, 1996); a grandson: Peter Marsteller; a sister: Jean Ball and 2 brothers: Roy and Joseph Coulson. Family and friends are invited from 6-8 PM on Saturday at the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730). Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday at the Grace United Methodist Church, 1333 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065, with the Reverend Justin Judy, officiating (EVERYONE IS ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH). Private Burial will follow at Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights on Monday.
