Miles R. Duncan

Miles R. Duncan, 94, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Belair Nursing Home, Lower Burrell, PA.

Miles was born May 31, 1919 in New Kensington, PA to the late David E. and Annie R. Myers Duncan.  He lived in New Kensington prior to moving to Penn Hills.  He was a Army Veteran serving during WW II as an Automotive Mechanic Tec 5.  He worked at US Gypsum Corporation as a boiler operator for 32 years.  He enjoyed working on cars and repairing radios and TV’s.

He is survived by a nephew: David R. (Marlys) Duncan; 8 nieces: Florence A. Demetrio, Naomi Ruth (Herbert) Nichols, Emma J. (Robert) Parker, Patricia Keating, Janet R. Champion, Carol (Richard) Ray, Virginia Blubaugh and Annie R. Cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Grace Sealy Duncan; 4 brothers: Harry, Walter, David and Arthur Duncan; 3 sisters: Bertha Duncan and Virginia Mitchell and Gladys P. Duncan; a nephew and several nieces.

Family and friends are invited from 7-9 PM on Sunday and from 10 AM till time of service on Monday at the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA  15068 (724-335-1951) where services will be held at 11 AM on Monday with the Reverend Kurt W.
