Melissa A. Graycar-Arasin, 47, of Irving, TX died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Melissa was born on November 20, 1977 in Natrona Heights to John P. and Judith A. (Cherom) Graycar.
Melissa graduated from Highlands High School Class of 1995. She went on to study Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising at Penn State University, graduating from their College of Communications with a Bachelor's degree. Melissa spent many successful years in the Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations industry in Dallas, TX. She enjoyed traveling, watching football, and spending time with her many friends both in her professional industry as well as in her personal life. Melissa was an avid Golden Girls fan as well. She loved visiting the many landmark restaurants that Pittsburgh has to offer when she would return home to visit family.
Melissa is survived by her parents, sister Michelle (Graycar) Cowan, nephew Alex Cowan, and aunt Marye (Peggy) Graycar.
Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents: Michael and Jennie Cherom and John and Margaret Graycar.
Family and friends are invited from 2:00-4:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1601 Kenneth Avenue, Arnold, PA 15068 with Father Yuroslav Koval officiating. All are asked to meet at the church. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
