Matthew Zane Parysof New Kensington, PAMatthew Zane 'Chewy' Parys, 42, of New Kensington, died on Monday, August 13, 2012, at Lake Arthur of Moraine State Park, Franklin Township, PA. He was born on September 3, 1969 in Altoona, PA. Matt graduated from Valley School of Ligonier and attended the Greater Latrobe High School. He worked as a landscaper for Grounds and Gardens in Plum and prior to that he worked for Leeds of Upper Burrell Township. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his daughter: Kirsten M. Parys of Clarksburg, PA; his mother and step father: Susan G. (Clifford E.) Buell; his father and step mother: Dr. Arthur S. (Svetlana) Parys of Greensburg; his sister: Beth (Steven Crocco) Claussen of Pittsburgh; his 2 nieces and nephew: Cecile, Mia and Connor Claussen; his step siblings: Deborah (Steve) Judge of Arden, NC, Clifford (Kathy) Buell of Palm Harbor, FL, James Buell of Shirley, MA, Iris (Jerry) Liberatore of Bridgeville, PA and David (Beth) Buell of Phoenix, AZ and 5 step nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday at the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068 (724-335-1951). Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 601 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068 (EVERYONE IS ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH) with the Reverend Colin Yuckman assisted by Reverend Kenneth Foust, officiating.
