Mrs. Mary Jane Wetzel
of Natrona Heights, PA

Mary Jane Wetzel, 85, of Natrona Heights, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.

Mrs. Wetzel was born on May 2, 1929 in Arnold, PA to the late Paul and Mary Benco Pozel.  She was a 1947 graduate of Arnold High School. She worked for Bell Telephone in New Kensington.  She became a life member of Citizen’s Hose Ladies Auxiliary serving as president for 10 years and treasurer for 10 years.  She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights. She volunteered for the Meals on Wheels at the church when they first started.  She enjoyed mending and sewing for all her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Keith (Wilma) Wetzel of Natrona Heights, PA, Barry (Janet) Wetzel of Freeport, PA and Jackie (Robert) Homza of Natrona Heights, PA; 6 grandchildren: Amanda, Angela and John Wetzel, Andrea Zier and Natalie and Rebecca Homza; 3 step grandsons: Robert, Thomas and Randall Filous and 9 great grandchildren and a brother: Paul Pozel of Bloomington, MN..

She was preceded in death by her parents;  her husband of 51 years: Jack O. Wetzel (May 24, 2004); her son: Jeffrey W. Wetzel (Feb. 12, 2000)); a sister: Lillian Pish and a brother: John Pozel.    

Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday, October 12 at the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA  15065 (724-224-7730).
