Margaret Grace (Phillips) Rae

Margaret Grace (Phillips) Rae, 91, of Apollo, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, while comforted by family at the Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford, PA. The daughter of the late John S. and N. Ruth Bowser Phillips, Margaret was born on Thursday, September 7, 1933 in Springdale, PA.

Margaret was a member of the North Apollo Church of God where she was a member of the Ladies Quilting Group and where she served in many different capacities of the church. She was a member of the D.A.R.  She enjoyed singing with her husband and friends and entertained at area nursing homes and senior citizens groups for many years.

Margaret is survived by her daughters: Sharon (Craig) Davis of N. Apollo, PA and Shannon (Cameron) Holt of Leechburg, PA; her son-in-law: Tom Harr and Daughter-in-law: Connie Shaffer Rae; a grandson with whom she raised: Mark Gutierrez and 12 other grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; her siblings: John (Pat) Phillips, Janet Varner and Jeanne (Chester) Haas-Bowser.  In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband: Robert A. Rae (12/15/2001); her children: Robert S. Rae, Suzanne Rae Gutierrez and Sandra Harr; and her siblings: Helen McCart and Daniel Phillips.

Family and friends are invited from 4-8 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2025 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730). Additional viewing will take place on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 10-11 AM at Harvest Church, 1207 Pacific Avenue, Natrona Heights, PA  15065.  A funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Will Land, officiating.
