Leona A. (Reitz) Baker
of Fawn Township, PA

Leona A. (Reitz) Baker, 82, of Fawn Township, PA died on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.  She was born on Friday, March 26, 1943, in Harrison Township, PA to the late Leon and Anna Maudhuit Reitz and lived in Fawn Township most of her life.  Leona graduated from Tarentum High School class of 1961. She was the Head Housekeeper at the Clarion Inn, New Kensington retiring in 2010 after 29 years. She attended the Millerstown Methodist Church.  Leona loved all the Pittsburgh sports teams, scratching off lottery tickets, camping and most of all being around her grandkids.  She was a life member of the Outdoor Life Lodge of Fawn Township. 

Leona is survived by her husband of 32 years: Ralph L. Baker; her daughters: Marci (Fred) Scholze of Fawn Township, PA and Leigh Ann (Denny) Beacom of Worthington, PA; her 2 stepdaughters: Tricia Welsh and Tracy Baker; 3 grandchildren: Samantha (Jeremy) Gray, D.J. Beacom and Hannah Beacom; one great grandchild: Carter Beacom.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Laurie Christy, Donna Christy and Jim Christy. In addition to her parents, Leona was preceded in death by her first husband: Lee Beacom (10/1988) and a sister: Anna Mae Christy (7/2025).

As per Leona’s wishes all services were held privately and a private burial will take place with her family at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, PA.
