Joyce Lorraine (Long) Orris, 86, of Fawn Township, died on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 after a brief illness at Harmar Village nursing facility.
She was born on Sunday, May 14, 1939 in Brackenridge, the youngest of five children to the late Joseph M. and Ruth E. Long and lived in Fawn most of her life. She graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1957. Joyce was the bookkeeper and CEO of Fawn Developers, Inc., and a member of the Lower Burrell Church of God, where she served as Choir Director and Sunday School teacher for many years. Joyce loved God, her church and the choir there, and was very active in church activities for much of her life. Her favorite pastime was shopping, especially with her sister and granddaughter; she also enjoyed reading and cooking for her family.
Surviving her are her son, Scott M. Orris, of Fawn; two grandchildren, Christina M. Orris of Long Beach, CA, and Scott M. Orris Jr., of Valencia; and two great grandchildren, Preston and Cooper Orris.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lloyd Orris; a daughter, Susan Lorraine Orris; and her siblings, Ruth (Long) Lisko, Carol (Long) Kowalski, Joseph "Rex" Long, and Thomas Long.
Joyce was an incredibly kind, generous, funny, and impeccably dressed woman; she will be greatly missed.
