Josephine Brownof New Kensington, PA Josephine Brown, 95, of New Kensington, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in West Haven Nursing Home, Washington Township. She was born on September 7, 1916 in New Kensington, PA, to the late Charles and Mariannina Tamburo Ross and has lived in the New Kensington area her whole life. Josephine was a 1935 graduate of New Kensington High School and during World War II was employed at Alcoa. She was a member for 78 years at the United Presbyterian Church of New Kensington where she enjoyed volunteering for many things. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed attending the annual 4th of July Ross Family reunions. She is survived by her son: Rev. Harry R. (Edith) Heidrich of West View, PA; a granddaughter: Catherine (Raymond) Morton and a great grandson: Khai all of Leesburg, VA; a brother: Joseph Ross of New Kensington; a sister: Annetta Magliocco of Lower Burrell and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Merle Heidrich in 1947 and her second husband: Howard R. Brown (2001) and 2 brothers: Frank C. and William V. Ross and a sister: Sarah Pisano. Family and friends are invited from 3-6 PM on Sunday at the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068 (724-335-1951). Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at the United Presbyterian Church, 601 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068 with the Reverend Colin Yuckman, officiating (EVERYONE IS ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH).
