Janet L. (Smith) Mack, 88, of Natrona Heights, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 5, 2023 with family and friends by her side. Janet was born on July 12, 1935 in Tarentum, PA to the late Oliver and Elizabeth Yadrich Smith. Janet was a reading aide for many years at Highlands High School. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge where she volunteered during the soup and craft events. She was a member and past president of both the Natrona Heights VFW and the Brackenridge American Legion, she worked in the kitchen for Meals on Wheels and volunteered at the voting poles. She enjoyed going to the family camp, playing cards with friends and she especially enjoyed being around her family and babysitting her neighbor’s dog. Janet is survived by her son: George (Annie) Mack, Jr. of Natrona Heights, PA, her grandchildren: Jennifer (Josh Keener) Gula, Erica (Ron) Collins, Justin and Josh Mack, and Kylie (Brian Gamble) Mack, her great grandchildren: Madison Bouch, McKenzie Bouch, Zoey Collins, Douglas Corbett and Kendall Gamble. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: George E. Mack, Sr., her son: Richard A. Mack, her daughter-in-law: Mary Ellen (Martinka) Mack, a sister: Phyllis J. Beer and 2 brothers: Robert and Albert Smith. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Hospice for their kind and tender care that they gave to Janet.
Family and friends are in invited from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where a service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM with the Rev.
