James R. Jankowskiof Natrona Heights, PAJames R. Jankowski, 82, of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Highland Center, Brackenridge. James was born on April 16, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Frank and Genevieve Keller Jankowski, Sr. He was a veteran serving in the Army, Navy and Marines. He was a boiler attendant in the boiler room at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was a member of the Rolling Hills Baptist Church of Penn Hills. He enjoyed reading and listening to stories.He is survived by his wife of 28 years: Lucy A. Marino Peterson Jankowski; his children: Robert Jankowski of Vandergrift, PA, Roberta Jankowski and Robert Peterson of Natrona Heights; 2 grandchildren: Angie and Gregory and 1 great grandchild; and a brother: Richard Jankowski of Pittsburgh.He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Charles Peterson; and his brother: Frank Jankowski.Family and friends are invited from 6-8 PM on Wednesday to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730), where a service will be at 8 PM on Wednesday with the Reverend Alex Poindexter, officiating.
