Jack W. Sober, 85, of Fawn Township, PA, died on Thursday, November 27, 2014 in his home.

Jack was born on January 17, 1929 in Brackenridge, PA to the late Clinton H. and Olga A. Trettel Sober.  He was a custodian at Highlands School District retiring after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, Tarentum.

He is survived by his children: Jack W. (Lea D.) Sober, Jr. of Orlando, Florida, and Richard A. Sober of Fawn Twp., PA, Daniel B. (Mary Lou) Sober of Tarentum and Charles A. (Evelyn S.) Sober of Kittanning, PA; grandchildren: Tara Joslyn, Christa Reichhardt, Erica Sober, Brian Clark, Heidi Wallace, David Sober, Jr., Matthew Sober, Melanie McMillan, Andrew Sober, Dylan Sober, Brian Smith, Lacey Bargerstock, Nathan Bargerstock, Stephanie Stivason, and Chase Sober; great grandchildren: Tyler, Ainsley and Ashlyn Joslyn, Sienna, Illysa and Cassidy Reichhardt, Giada and Adriana Pozzo, Dane Wallace, Austin and Rosalie Bargerstock and Alyssa and Ethan Jameson and his daughter in law: Dolores Sober

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Dorothy J. Burton Sober (April 23, 2006); his daughter: Deborah L. Clark and a son: David C. Sober; his siblings: Herman Sober, Anna Boland, Martha Thomas and Robert Sober.

Family and friends are invited from 6-8 PM on Monday, December 1 and 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, December 2 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730), where services will be at 11 AM on Wednesday.
