Howard Dennis Ladikof New Kensington, PAHoward Dennis Ladik, 79, died on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Kane Regional Center, Scott Township.Dennis was born November 5, 1932 in Renfrew, PA to the late Andrew and Gertrude Ann Copper Ladik. He was a veteran in the Army. He worked for T. W. Phillips Gas and Oil retiring in 1996 after 36 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of New Kensington. He was a member of the New Kensington Lions, he was a long time member and former vice president of the Parnassus Civic League. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Gene Paul (Carol) Ladik of Florida, Thomas Ladik of Maryland, Andrea (John) Clark of New Jersey, Joel (Katie) Ladik of Vandergrift, John (Peggy) Ladik of Vandergrift, Donald (Sandy) Ladik of Vandergrift and Melissa Harter of Apollo, several nieces and nephews, love to his nephew Christopher and a special love to his godchildren: Amy (Tony) Whittington and Carrie (Edward) Purtill.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Violet V. Sipe Ladik; and an infant daughter: Linda June Ladik. Family and friends are invited from 2- 4 and 6-8 PM on Monday at the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068 (724-335-1951), where services will start at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Bramwell Kjellgren, officiating.
