Geneva R. “Neva” McCarthy, 72, of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Allegheny Valley hospital, Natrona Heights, PA.  Neva was born on October 13, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Raymond and Betty Lou Payton Mancine.  Neva graduated from Peabody High School.  After graduation she went to Nursing School and became a nurse working at Shadyside Hospital for 19 years and Montefiore Hospital for 17 years. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Neva is survived by her husband: Charles McCarthy; a stepdaughter: Jennifer (Joe) Korotko of North Versailles; her grandchildren: Danielle, Joseph and Ashley Korotko; her siblings: Raymond Mark Mancine of Tarentum and Deanna Mancine of Sharpsburg and her nieces: Natalie (Justin) Sekula and Geneva Hodge.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew: Dominic Pellegrini.   

Family and friends are invited from 2–4 and 6-7:30 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730), where services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 7:30 PM with the Reverend Jonathan Hill, officiating.
