Geneva L. (Furlong) Lucas, 102, of Apollo, formerly of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.
Geneva was born on March 3, 1911 in Distant, PA to the late Boyd and Sarah Sharrar Furlong. She was a self-employed seamstress. She was a member of the St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Saxonburg, PA. She did volunteer work with Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary and the Concordia Lutheran Home. She enjoyed reading and knitting.
She is survived by her 2 daughters: Phyllis (Donald) Stewart of Saxonburg, PA and Madora Crooks of Apollo, PA; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Alvin M. Lucas (1986); her son: Joel Lucas (1957); 3 brothers: Otha, Clyde and Vern Furlong and 2 sisters: Fannie Shirey and Ruby O'Laughlin.
