Frederick H. Hahn, 80, of Fawn Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Concordia Lutheran Homes, Cabot, PA. Born on February 18, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was raised by the only mother and father he knew and has called them his parents since the age of 5 Walter R. and Phyllis J. Mitchell Christy. He lived in Fawn Township all of his life. Fred graduated from Tarentum High School class of 1963. He served in the Army as a Medical Corpsman for two years. He worked for PPG Industries Paint Division in Springdale, PA where he retired in 2004 after 34 years. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting anything to do with corvettes, car shows and swap meets in Carlisle and Hershey, PA, and in the local areas looking for antiques, going to flea markets, collecting Tarentum memorabilia, automobile and gasoline memorabilia. Fred was a lifetime member of the Outdoor Life Lidge, Fawn Township, a founding member of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
Fred leaves behind to cherish his memory his long-time companion and loving wife of 17 years and together since 1/1/1971, Orlanda L. (Meckley) Hahn; sister-in-laws: Linda Christy and Donna Forsythe; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother: Walter “Tim” Christy and a brother Dennis Forsythe.
Family and friends are invited from 2-4 & 6-8 on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 25, 2025 with the Reverend John Gehring-Anders assisted by the Rev.
