Parkinson, 86, of Buffalo Township, died on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Jefferson Township, PA.Miss Parkinson was born on May 7, 1925 in Natrona Heights, PA to the late J. Carl and Madeline DeQuinze Parkinson. She was employed by the Union National Bank of Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Cabot, PA. She attended St. Joseph High School and Carlow College. She was an avid Equestrian. She was an owner of Harness Racing Horses and was a member of the United States Trotting Association.She is survived by her cousin: Jeanette Lindblad of Monroeville; a niece: Nancy Parkinson of California and a nephew: William Parkinson of Pittsburgh.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother: Carl Parkinson and a sister: Patricia Parkinson.At Miss Parkinson's request there will be no public visitation. Blessing and burial services were held privately at Mt. Airy Cemetery with Fr. Ward Stakem, officiating.
