Erla (Plasick) Bryan, formerly of Natrona Heights, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 28, 2015 in The Villages, Florida.  She was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Pittman) Vogel and Raymond Shook.  Erla was born Friday, January 6, 1922 in Natrona Heights where she spent most of her life, except for the last 7 years she lived in The Villages, FL.  

She graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1939, met and married the late Joseph E. Plasick and had 2 daughters: Sandra (Plasick) Shaw of The Villages, FL and Jo Anne (Plasick) Boyd of Cincinnati, OH.  After Joe’s death in 1965, Erla worked for 18 years at the Allegheny Valley Hospital in the Dietary Departments.  While working, she met and married the late Kenneth R. Bryan who passed in 1992.  She was a member of the Allegheny Valley Baptist Church.

Erla was the last survivor of her family.  In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Hartley and Lorman R. (June) Shook; a sister: Eva Marie Brooks; and a good friend and sister-in-law: Betty Duffy.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Gerald T. Shaw and J. Robert Boyd; 7 grandchildren: Lori S. Perschke, Thomas E. Shaw, Jodi Leigh Wray, Heather Valles, Heidi Felini, James Joseph Boyd, and Robert Edward Boyd.  She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 7-9 on Friday, June 5, to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where a service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 6 with the Reverend Barry Keurulainen, officiating.
