Edith E. (Buckner) Burton, 97, of Cabot, PA died on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.

Edith was born Wednesday, October 22, 1919 in Freeport, PA to the late Wiley and Della (Bennett) Buckner.  Edith was a homemaker who greatly enjoyed bingo, cooking, and traveling.  She was also a member of the Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Delphine Maurer of Natrona Heights; 5 grandchildren: Lorie Woloszynski, Melissa Fritschie, Melinda Nikolaevich, Douglas Burton, and Marcy Sader; and 8 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert L. Burton on August, 6, 2002; her son, W. Larry Burton; her son-in-law, Jack Maurer; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. 

Family and friends are invited from 1-3 on Sunday, October 30, 2016 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where a funeral service will be held on Monday, October 31 at 11:00 AM with the Rev.
