Charmayne L. Smithof Natrona Heights, PA Charmayne L. Smith, 73, of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in her home.Mrs. Smith was born on December 10, 1937 in Natrona, PA to the late Charles W. and Myrtle Steffy Daugherty, Sr. She was a 1955 Har Brack High School graduate and a 1958 graduate of the Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Allegheny Valley Hospital. She and her husband Tom were co-owners of the Isaly's in Tarentum from 1952-1981. She was a member of the Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church along with the cathedral choir and women's group. She was a member of the Eastern Star and she enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, crossword puzzles and singing. When Tom was a live they enjoyed traveling, dining out and their time together.She is survived by her children; Lorrene (Leonard) Scheuring of Glenshaw, PA, Thomas K. (Brenda) Smith, Jr. of Irwin, PA and Melissa (Mark) Hanby of Natrona Heights; 4 grandchildren: Jared and Noah Smith and Emma and Becca Hanby; a sister: Lillian Hilda Bailie of Cheswick, PA and 5 nieces and a nephew.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Thomas K. Smith, Sr. (Aug. 30, 1995); and a brother: Charles W. Daugherty, Jr.At the families request there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11 AM at the Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church, 1428 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights, PA 15065, with the Reverend R. Cameron Malcolm, IV, officiating. Private burial will be held later at Mt. Airy Cemetery.
