Charles Eugene “Gene” Thompson, 79, of New Kensington, PA died at Quality Life Services, Sarver, on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Gene was born on Wednesday, January 9, 1946 in Natrona Heights to the late Robert R. and Jean B. (Susman) Thompson. Gene served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Upon leaving the Army, Gene worked as a crane repairman for 30 years at Allegheny Ludlum, Brackenridge. Gene was a member of the Tarentum VFW.
Gene is survived by his 4 children: Roger Thompson of New Kensington, Roxanne Thompson and life mate, Craig Negley of Leechburg, Chrissy Knepshield and spouse Ryan of Cumming, GA and Damian Thompson of Maryville, TN and 4 grandchildren: Connor Duff and Mayleah, Avick & Canaan Knepshield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Gary Thompson and his ex-spouse and friend: Sheila (Rajoo) Thompson.
