Charles L. 'Sonny' Martinof Natrona Heights, PACharles L. 'Sonny' Martin, 82, of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.Sonny was born on December 10, 1928 in Fawn Township, PA to the late James B. and Sara E. Graybigle Martin. He was an Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a glass cutter at PPG in Creighton retiring in 1991 after 46 years. He was a life member of the Natrona Heights VFW and a member of the Brackenridge American Legion.He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Mona Jean Callender Martin; his daughter: Rhonda Borello (Ron Held) of Vandergrift, PA; his son: Charles E. Martin of Natrona Heights, PA; 4 grandchildren: Natalie Borello, Heidi Held, Heather Martin and Chas Martin; 1 great grandson: Garret 'Little Man' Snow; 2 brothers: John E. Martin of Tarentum and Donald W. Martin of West Tarentum, PA; 2 sisters: Jean Jones of McVille, PA and Joyce Motosicky of Lower Burrell, PA; and NUMEROUS nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; a son: William C. Martin and 2 brothers: James B. and Ronald Dale Martin. Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730). Where services will be at 11 AM on Friday with the Reverend Justin Judy, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
