Charles F. Korman, Sr.of Natrona Heights, PACharles F. Korman, Sr., 83, of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center Emergency Room, Natrona Heights.Mr. Korman was born on May 18, 1927 in West Tarentum, PA to the late Joseph H. and Louise M. Decroo Korman. He was a veteran in the Army Air Force during WW II. He was the manager for Forbes Petroleum in West Tarentum. He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Tarentum. He was a 50 year member of the Pollock Lodge #502 of Tarentum where he was Past Master, he was also a member of the Scottish Rite of Pittsburgh, he was a 60 year member of the Highland Hose Fire Co. of Tarentum, the Brackenridge American Legion and the Alle-Kiski Football Chapter where he officiated football games for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He also enjoyed going to his camp at Big Pine Lodge in Sigel, PA.He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Betty (Coffman) Korman; his children: Susan (Jeff) Balog of Natrona Heights, Kathy (Alan) Younkins and Charles F. (Bobbie) Korman, Jr. of New Kensington; 5 grandchildren: Amanda, Danielle, Andrea, Kayla and Karly; and a sister: Evelyn L. Drury of Brackenridge and nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister: Dorothy Mae Jack. Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730), where services will be at 11AM on Saturday, with the Reverend Elaine M. Hower, officiating. Private burial will follow at McVille Union Cemetery, South Buffalo Township. The Highland Hose Fire Co. will meet at 7:00 PM on Friday followed by Pollock Lodge at 7:30 PM.
