Bruce M. Maloney, 69, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at East End Health & Rehabilitation Center, Pittsburgh. Bruce was born on Saturday, June 12, 1954 in Trenton, NJ to the late Joseph and Muriel Smith Maloney. Bruce attended St. Teresa Elementary in Perrysville, graduated from North Catholic High School and Carnegie Mellon University. Bruce worked as an Admissions Supervisor for UPMC retiring in 2020 after 33 years of service.
Bruce loved watching and cheering for the Penguins, Steelers and the Pirates and he loved listening to a wide variety of music. He was an avid gardener who loved flowers and sharing pictures of his garden on Facebook. He enjoyed traveling, especially loved going on cruises and the friends that he met while cruising. Bruce loved sharing his knowledge of Pittsburgh as an Uber driver. Bruce had many fond memories of time spent at the Jersey shore with family and friends and was sad that he did not get to the shore once more.
Bruce was truly grateful for the wonderful care he received through the UPMC network of hospitals, nurses and doctors. Especially UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and Dr. Leonard Appleman.
Bruce leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings: Kevin (June) Maloney of Boston, MA, Dave (Gina) Maloney of San Diego, CA, Mary Ann (Al) Miano of Silver Lake, OH and Brian Maloney of Akron, OH; his nieces: Jess and Cassandra and his nephews: Tommy and Dave.
