Mrs. Bernice I. Stimelof Natrona Heights, PABernice I. Stimel, 90, of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot, PA.Mrs. Stimel was born on February 23, 1920 in Kittanning, PA to the late Murray and Hilda Frank Fitzgerald. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Tarentum where she held numerous positions. She was a volunteer and a buyer since 1959 at the Alle-Kiski Valley Hospital Gift Shop. She was past president and current board member of the hospital ladies auxiliary, she was a volunteer for the Alle-Kiski Health Foundation, was past president of the Church Women United and was very active in community service.She is survived by her children: Joseph M. Stimel of Natrona Heights and Patricia (Gary) Strohauer of Clearwater, FL; 2 grandchildren: David Strohauer and Stacy Strohauer-Son; 2 great grandchildren: Caleb and Gabe Son; and 1 sister: Cozy McKinney of Sarver, PAShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Joseph Stimel (Nov. 11, 1982); a brother: Murray Fitzgerald and 2 sisters: Maxine Beachy and Mary Lou Michael. There will be a private family viewing on Monday at the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730). Services will follow at 11 AM on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 410 Third Avenue, Tarentum, PA 15084 (EVERYONE IS ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH) with the Reverend Robert B. Walker, officiating.
