Barbara Ann McVayof Natrona Heights, PABarbara Ann McVay, 74, of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Cedars Hospice in Monroeville.Mrs. McVay was born on Friday, September 6, 1935 in Limestone, PA to the late Barton A. and Shirley P. McKinley Eaker. She was 1953 graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School and a 1957 graduate of Clarion State Teachers College. She worked as an elementary school teacher at both Birdville and Fawn Elementary. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Natrona Heights. She loved spending her summers at Pymatuning.She is survived by her husband of 50 years: Richard L. McVay; her children: Richard B. (Cindy) McVay of Witchatau Falls, TX and Pamela M. (James E.) Fifer of Cheasapeake, VA; her grandson: Mathew C. McVay and her brother: James Eaker of Wilson, NC.She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Theodore Eaker Family and friends are invited from 7-9 Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730). A service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Reverend Larry Pawson, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
