Amber F. (Blair) Shoemaker, 80, of Buffalo Township, died on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the home of her daughter. Amber was born on Monday, February 17, 1941 in Rimersburg, PA to the late Wylie R. and Louella G. Hindman Blair. Amber worked as a Registered Nurse at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center, retiring in 2000 after 18 years of service. She was an active member and an Elder of the Buffalo United Presbyterian Church of Sarver joining the church in 1965.  She was a member of the Freeport Eastern Star.  Amber enjoyed camping in Erie and making “Blankets for Linus” for the Pittsburgh Hospitals. She is survived by her husband of 61 years: Donald R. Shoemaker; her children: Donald A. (Michele) Shoemaker of Fennellton, PA, Daniel W. Shoemaker of Freeport, PA and Valerie B. (Louis) Shaw of Saxonburg; her 4 grandchildren: Wesley (Erin) Shaw, Kylie (Josh) Haupt, Garrett Shaw and Carl Shaw; a great grandchild: Teigan Blumer and her siblings: Anna Grace Nida of Kansas City, KS, Wylie (Jean) Blair of New Bethlehem, PA, Dorissa Boozer of Penn Yan, NY, and Nola K. (John) Youngman of Portersville, PA.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Helen Doutt, Samuel Ray Blair, Warren Dostie Blair and Leslie M. Blair.

Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, September 10, 2021 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730), additional visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Buffalo United Presbyterian Church, 678 Sarver Road, Sarver, PA 16055. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Jean Smith, officiating.
