Albert J. Glenn, 88, formerly of Washington Township, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Sunnyview Rehab Center, Butler, PA.
Albert was born Tuesday, July 26, 1927 in Cadiz, OH to the late Samuel and Anna (Ward) Glenn. He worked as a truck driver for Breman Trucking, Monroeville, PA and was a veteran serving in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of New Kensington, PA and Kiski Bootleggers Camp Club. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and woodworking.
Albert is survived by his 2 children: Valarie (Louis) Amarando of Butler Twp., PA and Bryan (Amy) Glenn of Monroeville, PA; 3 grandchildren: Aaron, Tyler, and Brandon Amarando; 1 brother: Elmer Glenn of Sarver, PA and 1 sister: Norma Sterling of Grove City, OH.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Jean (Beighley) Glenn on April 11, 2014 and his brother: George Glenn.
Family and friends are invited from 2-5 PM on Saturday, August 29, to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where a service will immediately follow at 5 PM with the Reverend Jack Hartman officiating. Private burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, PA. Military honors will be accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard.
