Alan D. Smithof Buffalo Township, PAAlan D. Smith, 56, of Buffalo Township, PA, died on Friday, April 9, 2010 at his home.Mr. Smith was born on Saturday, August 15, 1953 in Ferndale, MI to Harold E. 'Bud' and Eloise M. Best Smith of Sarver. He worked for many years a Stereo Land in Natrona Heights. He was a member of the Freeport United Methodist Church in Freeport. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, the outdoors, lawn work and flower gardening and he especially likes helping others.Besides his parents he is also survived by his wife of 32 years: Violet K. Woods Smith; his siblings: Debra Jardine of Sarver, Kimberly (Dennis) Postupack of Alpharetta, GA, David Smith of Natrona Heights and Lisa Fuhrman of Freeport; his niece and nephews: Ryan Fuhrman, Lauren Fuhrman and Christopher Jardine and his sister in law: Diane (David) Scott of Natrona Heights. Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730). A service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Reverend Edd Myers, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
