Richard “Rich” C. Ray, Sr., 79, of Lower Burrell, PA died on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his home.

Rich was born on Wednesday, November 3, 1937 in Lower Burrell to the late Wilmer Bart and Madeleine (Brassine) Ray.  Rich graduated from Arnold High School Class of 1957 and went to work as a Senior Technician at Alcoa for 35 years before retiring in 1993.  He enjoyed hunting, wood working, and watching his favorite old westerns on TV.     

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved children, Roberta (Harvey) Smith, Cherie (Bob) Jones, and Richard (Tammy) Ray, Jr.; his 4 grandchildren: Chelsea Greenwald, Greg Ray, Adam Jones, and Emily Smith; great-grandchild Colton James Royer; and his siblings, Mary Ray and Dorothy Brackin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carol L. (Duncan) Ray, in 2015; his daughter, Rebecca, and his brother, Wilmer Ray.
