John Allan Copus, 68, of Quinlan, TX (formerly of Natrona Heights) passed away late Sunday night on October 28, 2018 in Royse City Health the Rehab Center. John was born on December 8, 1949 in Brookville, PA the son of the late George and Rebecca (Sayers) Copus.
John was a graduate of Har-Brack High School Class of 1968. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory his 3 children, Allison Irwin and her husband Cory, Patricia Ricketts and her husband David, Justin Copus and his wife Courtney, all of TX; 7 grandchildren, Joel Copus, Zachary Ricketts, Shannon Austin, Ashley Hawkins, Cory Irwin, Jr., Alexandria Irwin, and Adam Ricketts; 1 great grandchild, Quinn Colombrito; 2 sisters, Kathy Copus and Dena (Michael) Thornton; 2 brothers, Brian and Edward (Amy) Copus; other relatives; and his man’s best friend, his pride and joy, Izzy.
John was preceded in his death by his parents.
Family and friends are invited from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where blessing service will follow at 5:00 PM with the Rev. Douglas Crump, officiating. Private burial will be held at Middle Run Cemetery, Fairmont City, PA.
