Jean Rowe Obituary

Jean M. (Neyman) Rowe, 91, passed peacefully into the heavenly embrace of her Lord and Savior Friday, July 6, 2018, surrounded by her family at Concordia Good Samaritan Hospice.

She was born in 1926 in the Overbrook section of Pittsburgh, to Aldo and Mabel Arnold Neyman. She graduated from the former Har-Brack High School in 1945 and married Donald L. Rowe in 1949. Together, they resided in Natrona Heights, where Jean worked as the bookkeeper for the family owned Don Rowe Masonry business and where she and Don raised their two children, son Tracy and daughter Erin. They currently lived in Saxonburg. Jean was a devoted wife, mother and friend who loved family and was a genuinely kind and compassionate soul, always concerned for the health and safety of her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Before suffering from dementia, she was an active volunteer at the Herbal Thymes Garden Club of Saxonburg and the Thrift Shop at Grace United Methodist Church in Natrona Heights. She enjoyed being with her family and delighted in planning gatherings. Another important passion in Jean's life was the education of her children and she worked tirelessly to see them off to college.

Her everlasting love for her family lives on. She is survived by the love of her life and her husband of 69 years, Donald; son, Tracy (Debbie) Rowe, of Saxonburg; daughter, Erin (John) Brown, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; four grandchildren, including Chase (Jocelyn) Rowe, of Valencia, and Marisa (Shane) Jakubovic, of Valencia, Emerson (Nate) Graves, of Marquette, Mich., and Ellery Graves, of Oakland, Calif.; along with six great-grandchildren; and brother, Aldo Neyman, of Indianapolis, Ind.

There will be a private family service at Prospect Cemetery in Brackenridge. Arrangements are under the care of the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association : Greater Pennsylvania Chapter (alz.org), or Grace United Methodist Church, 1333 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065.
