Ida W. (Bicker) Smith, 100, formerly of Natrona Heights, PA, died on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot, PA.   

Ida was born on Thursday, April 19, 1917 in Winfield Twp. to the late George Oscar and Laura Jane (Ross) Bicker.  Ida worked in the Business Office at Allegheny Valley Hospital for 14 years before retiring in December of 1979.  She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Tarentum and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and word puzzles.

Ida is survived by her daughters, Carole (Art) Gildner of Natrona Heights and Marilynn (Nick) Grant of Ortonville, MI; 5 grandchildren, Michelle (Ken) Misejka, Scott (Lori Lynn) Gildner, Tiffany (Bill) Hooks, Tanya (Dave) Gildner, and Travis Grant; 8 great-grandchildren, Kayla (Butch) Misejka Vallies, Ashlee and Nicole Misejka, Douglas and Samantha Gildner, Courtney and Taylor Orr, and Declan Ciancaglione; 2 great-great grandchildren, Brody Vallies and Cadance Borland; a sister, Betty Rieser of Cabot, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends at Concordia.  She was loved by all and an inspiration to many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Smith, in April of 1998; a grandson, Mark David Gildner; a great-grandson, Matthew John Gildner; and brothers Ross and Floyd Bicker.   

Family and friends are invited from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730).  Services will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church, 913 Lock St, Tarentum, PA, on Friday, May 26 at 11 AM with Rev.
