Evelyn Kay Glass

Evelyn Kay Glass, 77, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her home.   

Evelyn was born on Sunday, December 29, 1940 in New Kensington, PA to the late Frank J. and Thelma E. Wilson Glass. Evelyn graduated from Carlow College.  She was a registered nurse at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was a faithful member of the United Presbyterian Church of New Kensington where she was a Deacon, an Elder, and a member of the choir.  She was a volunteer at the Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, New Kensington and a member of the Pucketos Garden Club. She loved her cats and enjoyed traveling, reading and the theater.

Evelyn is survived by her cousins: Diane Baer of Apollo, PA and Linda Smith of Martinsburg, PA and her best friend: Carol Turney of Lower Burrell, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Marilyn Glass.

Family and friends are invited from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, November 2, 2018 to the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Avenue, New Kensington, PA  15068 (724-335-1951) where services will start at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Wendy Keys, officiating.
